Introduction to Chiropractic

Consultation with chiropractor.Your first session with us is the Introduction to Chiropractic. This is perhaps the most important visit you will have in our office. The chiropractor will discuss how we can achieve optimal health through chiropractic care and explain how to get well as quickly as possible and stay well for longer.

We will talk about how chiropractic works and what to expect when you visit our office for chiropractic care. It is also a chance for you to ask us questions and to decide if chiropractic is right for you. We look forward to welcoming you to our office!

Our Introduction to Chiropractic sessions take place on Mondays at 6:30pm and Fridays at 1pm and last about an hour.

New Practice Member Assessment

This visit will take up to 30 minutes. When you arrive at our practice, you will be warmly greeted by one of our staff members. We will have given you your new practice member paperwork at the end of the Introduction to Chiropractic so that you can complete it in your own time and return it to a friendly face at reception at this visit. You will then proceed to your private appointment with Dr Glenn Fredericksen (Chiropractor) who will conduct a three-part assessment:

  • Consultation
  • Orthopaedic, neurological and postural testing
  • A computerised scan using the Insight™ Subluxation Station.

If necessary, you may also be referred to a local hospital facility for X-ray studies.

In order to ensure accurate results from the computerised scan, if at all possible on the day of your visit, please try to avoid bubbling bath salts, oils, nicotine, caffeine, over-the-counter drugs, excessive sun exposure, lotions, a heavy work-out or sunscreen.

Report of Findings Visit

Consultation with chiropractorDuring this appointment, we will provide you with a report of findings, which is a review of your examination, scan and X-ray results. At this time, we’ll also discuss customised care options and a plan of action to help you optimise your function and wellness potential. You’ll also receive your first gentle Chiropractic treatment during this visit.

Regular Visits

Shrewsbury Family Chiropractic provides a relaxing opportunity to experience positive changes in your health. We never rush our practice members through their adjustments, and will never subject you to long, tedious waits. We always enjoy taking the time to learn about your life and hope to build and maintain a trusted friendship as we partner with you in enhancing your health.

Reassessment Visits

During your care at Shrewsbury Family Chiropractic we will monitor your progress and achievement of your goals by completing regular reassessment visits.

Measuring Results

Thanks to the non-invasive nature of our high tech computerised scanning equipment that we used on your first visit we can repeat scans to detect changes in nerve system stress. Through scans together with simple health surveys and performing small physical examinations we can monitor your progress over time.

Like your first two appointments with Shrewsbury Family Chiropractic, your reassessment visit will be slightly longer than your regular visits.

Our office is friendly and accommodating, and children and adults alike love our care. We want kids to grow up to be as healthy as possible, and we have the expertise, training and tools to make a difference. Contact us today!
